From Linus: My New Home

Hi Mommy Keko and the rest of the family.

I wanted to send a quick note and let you know about my new home. I will be very busy exploring this house. I was very good in the car ride home and did not cry, so when Amy let me out of the carrier...I pooped under the seat. :) I just wanted to mark my territory. When we got home...she gave me a small bath to clean me up...and then fed me. I cried when I got the wet food and dry food...I was so happy and amazed that I did not have to share with any of you!!! It was very good, and although I wanted to devour it, I am showing my manners, and left some for later.

You would not believe all the toys here....but I do have to wonder who is having more fun playing with them. I have this long stick with a feather at the end and we run around the house with it. I hope she knows she will get tired of this game much faster than me...I could go all night.

I have been looking at this large tree house. I know people say I am a good climber, but it is kind of intimidating at first. I will have to tackle that tomorrow.

I hope you are all getting along without me....I am going to curl up on this couch and have a cat nap. I am also going to clean myself like I like...she really did not clean me to my liking.

Don't worry about me...and I will see you in a couple of weeks.

Love
Linus

From Epiphany June's family: a cat's life

Epiphany and I have been having a wonderful time together, she follows me everywhere i go. She did not have an accident in the car and she loves my place.....lol

I bought her all kinds of toys today and she is having a blast. She is adorable. She sleeps all night long right at my neck, all nestled up in a ball and this morning when we woke up she stretched out and her little feet where all up in my face. She's so cute.

Look at how beautiful my lil kitty is, she is such a sweetheart and a joy. I love to take cat naps with her. You know, you can learn a lot from a cats life.

From Cruiser's family: Thanks again

Just an update. Cruiser is 100% acclimated to his new environment and he is just a love. I've had him to the vet and he is doing great. We have not had a single accident in regards to going to the bathroom where he shouldn't. He's used his box from day one and hasn't deviated yet.

He is a great cat and we are so grateful that we found you guys when we did. I've attached a few pictures just so you can see how he is doing.

From Nikita's family: Week One

Rebecca and Nick: Thanks again for all of your help and assistance, I feel very lucky to have Sascha (now Nikita). Last night was nice, no problem with the litter box, she ate a little wet food before going to sleep with me at about 10:30. Night [one] was relatively uneventful and I woke to the 6am kitten pounce on toe routine. We got up and played for about 45 minutes.

Nikita can be a little feisty at times but she has been a great companion over the course of the last few days. She seems determined to “eat” the cable ties I have on my wires behind my television but we seem to be gradually coming to an understanding that it is not allowed :)

Hello from Brutis

Brutis is doing really well. He slept on his hammock on his condo tree. Early next day morning, we found him on our bed next to my neck.... Brutis met Zeus (the 120 lb golden retriever) and was scared but still okay. Zeus was overjoyed to have an addition to the family and just kept wagging his tail smiling at Brutis with his big brown eyes. Brutis was a bit apprehensive since Zeus' head was bigger than Brutis' whole body...

First day was exciting, Brutis met the neighbor's cat and dog and kids. He was playing with 7 kids at one point. Brutis slept next to Rob's head the second night.

Yesterday we started to let Brutis out of the master bedroom with supervision and took him to his box when we detected any signs. He did great! He was more comfortable with Zeus too. He actually walked past Zeus within 2 feet of him. He found a little secret hiding place behind the planter by the window (don't worry, it is a fake plant). When we would call him, he would come out and greet us.

Today, he is playing a lot with his toys and he seems very confident. We are now letting him explore the family room a bit downstairs under supervision. I accidentally left my yarn out in the room and Brutis had a ball. Yarn was everywhere. He had a lot of fun redecorating the room...

We are so happy to have him as part of our family. He is very playful and adjusting very well. He plays very well with all the kids. Thank you guys very much for raising Brutis.
